Reflection Color Scheme 

It was difficult to use only certain colors, instead of the colors that matched the paper. It was also hard to transition between the five different color schemes.  It was a good color group exercise.

Color as Expression

I began with shades of blue because that has always been my favorite color.  I chose the cool over the warm colors because they are closer to blue and the deep shades in the picture.

Understanding

Creating the painting helped enable me to understand watercolor because the way you have to mix the colors and create shading as well as making the color look like a pane of glass.

Inspiration

Frank Lyod Wright Inspired my light screen because of how he used his organ shapes and line to create beautiful

light screens

Exprees

I express the way you can create different shades with only a few colors by blending and glazing them.

Devolpe Skills

I devloped my watercolor painting skills by learning how to mix and glaze colors as well as the amount of water to use for a lighter or darker color.

Behaviors

I developed shading skills on how to make an object look realistic with shading by using positive and negative space as well as dark and light areas.

Envision

I imagined an old decrepit looking tree with a notch in the trunk, and to have been broken at the very top of the trunk with a few cracks going up the side. This is what I imagined while I was doing my scratch art.

Observation

I observe that a rose leaf has a scaly type parttern. If you look closely enough the veins of the leaf are very flouresent. In addition, the edge of the leaf is very rough and spiky. The top side of the leaf is very vibrant, but the bottom is very colorless and bland.

Lines

Lines are important elements of art because they can help show depth, shape, and shadows of shapes.I used lines such as contour lines to show how an object would feel to your hand, and to show the depth of objects in the project I had worked on.
